Toyota announces that Corolla GR is being tested by Brazilian

The 304 hp Toyota Corolla GR was revealed and is already running in tests here in Brazil.

Recently revealed, the Toyota Corolla GR of 304 hp of power, is already being tested in the interior of São Paulo, since the beginning of last month.

According to some information from the magazine Auto Sport, the new Toyota Corolla GR has already been confirmed by the Japanese brand to debut with sales in Brazil by the end of the year.

The “Giro dos Motores” anticipates that even before the official launch, only one unit of the hatch is already running in tests here in Brazil.

So this new Corolla GR comes to fight with the sports of the Brazilian market.

His engine will be a 1.6 liter turbo, with three cylinders generating 304 hp of power and 37.4 kgfm of torque. We still don't know if there's an all-wheel drive option. But we have information that comes in the version with a six-speed manual transmission system.

Finally, the model has a prepared suspension, thus improving the car to run on various types of roads.

As for the car's brake system, it comes with ventilated discs and aluminum calipers. Only on the front wheels will be four pistons working, and on the rear only two.

If it comes like the European version, the Corolla GR comes in two versions. One version is “Core” and the other is “Circuit Edition”, both with excellent performance.

In the “Core” model it is more normal, and ends up being a common car, less flashy. In the “Circuit Edition” version, the car is much sportier and ends up drawing more attention, looking like a track model.

In the Circuit Edition version, it comes with wider fenders, and air intakes on the hood. The roof is made of carbon fiber and the interior is finished in suede.

To complete the design of the car, it comes with a rear spoiler and also with side skirts.
