Triumph Bonneville T120 DGR 2023

The Triumph Bonneville T120 DGR model 2023 is a British motorcycle that will have few units. See below for more information!

That's right, the machine described by Triumph as the "ultimate icon of British motorcycle riding" is getting a limited edition version, bred as a means to commemorate this year's Distinguished Gentleman's Ride (DGR) race.

It is an event created in 2012 in Australia and dedicated to pilots from all over the world. We've talked about this before here at autoevolution, mainly because since 2014 the triumph is its partner, and almost every year it launches some kind of special product linked to the DGR.

In the last two years, for example, we've had a unique variant of the Thruxton RS (2021) and an unlikely combination between a Bonneville T120 and a Gibson Les Paul Standard guitar (2022).

For this year, the special gift is called Bonneville T120 Black DGR, and it is not a single case like the previous ones, but a complete edition of 250 units that will be sold in global markets.

Basically, the bike is your standard T120, with the 1200cc High Torque engine in its frame, Brembo brake hardware, 32-spoke front and rear wheels, and two riding modes, Road and Rain.

It's the look that sets it apart, and it was created specifically to be a celebration of the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride. And since we're talking about a gentleman's ride, the idea was to dress the biker in a way that resembled a formal suit for a night on the town.

This was achieved by giving the Bonneville a two-tone paint job in Phantom Black Metallic and Crystal White. Gold accents can be found on the fuel tank and side panels. The same two locations are where the official DGR branding was included.

Now, the DGR may be an event dedicated to motorcyclists, but it is also a fundraiser. The 90,000 people who took to the streets in nearly 800 cities around the world last year raised US$ 37 million over the years for research on prostate cancer and men's mental health.

Therefore, in 2023, of the 250 motorcycles that triumph is making for the event (each numbered and signed by DGR founder Mark Hawwa and Triumph CEO Nick Bloor), the one wearing the 001 tag will be donated to this year's highest fundraiser.

For the rest of us, those who will actually be able to get our hands on one of these bikes, the retail price is $ 13,495, approximately R$68,495.
