Volkswagen ID.3 EV 2024: now more sporty

O Volkswagen ID.3 was released less than four years ago, so it's not remotely old. However, that hasn't stopped the designers from updating things a bit.

Although the car is instantly recognizable, it adopts a new front bumper with an "optimized" entry, as well as an active shutter system.

It looks a little sleeker than the old setup and the center intake is now joined by pronounced air curtains, which improve airflow around the front wheels.

The rear end appears to carry over at first glance, but there are slightly revised taillights.

While they look virtually identical to their predecessors, Volkswagen has noticed that elements in the hatch now light up.

Additionally, the brake lights create an X-shape while there are also dynamic turn signals.

Lastly, there's a new Dark Olivine Green exterior that "represents exclusivity and premium value".

Volkswagen says the "iridescent metallic paintwork has a warm golden pearl effect and supports the clean, modern contours of the exterior design". It's contrasted by a black roof and matte silver trim.

And the déjà vu design continues in the cabin, but Volkswagen listened to the owners and made some improvements.

As well as boasting higher quality materials, the Volkswagen ID.3 has been equipped with new soft-touch details, as well as updated doors with more generous armrests.

Buyers will also find Artvelours Eco microfiber upholstery on the seats and door panels.

It's a neat looking material and the Volkswagen ID.3 2024 says that "the fabric is recycled 71%, a secondary raw material obtained by recycling plastic waste that has already been discarded at least once".

The rest of the cabin remains large, but we can see new central air vents with the “ID.3” emblem.

Buyers will also find a 5.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a standard 12-inch infotainment system.

They can be accompanied by an augmented reality head-up display with dynamic navigation instructions that appear to be projected 33 feet (10 meters) ahead of the vehicle.

Other highlights include a ten-color ambient lighting system and luggage capacity of up to 1,267 liters with the rear seats folded down.

The model can also be equipped with a range of driver assistance systems, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Assist, Travel Assist with automatic lane changes and Park Assist Plus with a memory function that can “replay pre-learned individual manoeuvres”. .

Therefore, this new Volkswagen ID.3 EV 2024 has many upgrades.
