New VW Amarok 2023 V6 comes to impress with 250 hp
This new Volkswagen Amarok 2023 V6 has just been revealed and will come with Ford Ranger DNA and a V6 engine generating 250 hp of power.
The pickup was developed together with Ford, but the model is not yet expected to come to Brazil.
With some information, the new Volkswagen Amarok, will only be in South Africa.
Anyway, a totally new project, the new Amarok 2023 will have almost nothing in common with the previous model.
The previous model had more than 830,000 copies sold worldwide, since the year it was launched in 2010.
Now the pickup will use Ford's T6 platform, the same one used in the new Ranger, now more updated.
Analyzing the car, you can see that it is not a Ranger with the Volkswagen logo, but a much more modern and flashy car. So for sure this new Volkswagen pickup will take the brand to another level, leaving the competition behind.
Therefore, this new generation of Amarok 2023 will have a double cabin or single cabin version.
Finally, Volkswagen will sell this new pickup with the option of 17-inch steel wheels, or in top-of-the-line versions with 21-inch wheels.
The new Amarok will have two 4Motion options, a 4×4 mode or one with permanent and all-wheel drive. Depending on the country, you may have a rear-wheel drive only version, for less.
As for the engines, there will be a gasoline option and four diesel options, and all models will be turbocharged.
We know that in South Africa, the car will have a 2.0 TDI engine with 150 hp of power, but in other places it will be with 170 hp of power.
In the intermediate models, we will have the option of an engine with 204 and 209 horsepower, depending on the emission regulations of each country.

In the top-of-the-line model, it will have the 3.0 TDI engine with 250 hp of power, and in countries that still have a gasoline car, it will have the option of the 2.3 turbo engine with 302 hp of power, made especially for Amarok.
Depending on the model, the pickup will have a 5- or 6-speed manual gearbox, or a 6-speed automatic. In the 2.0 TDI and 3.0 V6 versions, the transmission system is automatic with 10 gears.
Volkswagen intends to sell this new Amarok 2023 in five versions. New Amarok Life, Style, PanAmericana and Aventura, all with luxury off-road style.
So this new Amarok will be produced by Ford, and it will be in September.
That's in South Africa, and probably made on the same production line as the new Ranger. With information from Volkswagen, this model is not yet planned for Brazil, and that they are thinking of updating the old model to continue here in the Brazilian market in 2024.
