Dodge Challenger 2023 SRT Demon 170

The 2023 Dodge Challenger will be the last car in this segment, because EV cars are gaining ground. See below for more details!

We've known for some time now that Stellantis has commissioned a new course for some of its brands, including dodge Challenger.

The US automaker is set to move away from Hemi V8s and other ICE wonders to its Charger and Challenger nameplates starting with model year 2024 as the EV revolution slowly — but steadily and surely — takes hold.

So, before they were discontinued, Dodge made updates to the SRT Demon 170.

Firstly, the seventh and last special edition 'Last Call' will cost at least $ 96,666, that is, more than 500 thousand reais.

That's the MSRP, excluding destination and tax, with dealer allocations now open via the Dodge Horsepower Locator tool at DodgeGarage.com and orders scheduled to begin March 27th.

Better hurry, though, and find that elusive dealer who orders at MSRP because they'll get priority when scheduling. Also, no more than 3,300 units will be put into production (300 of them in Canada, the rest in the US).

Exact NHRA-certified figures are included, of course, and the Demon 170 covers just over 6 km on the (groomed) drag strip in just 8.91 seconds at 243.28 km/h (151.17 mph).

When it comes to power, the Dodge Challenger starts at 900 hp and 810 lb.-ft. (1,098 Nm) at E10 or a total rev of 1,025 horsepower and 945 lb.-ft. (1,281 Nm) on the E85.

So, with this latest modification, it can jump to 97 km/h in 1.66 seconds!

The list of modifications is longer than a fast day and the name refers to E85 ethanol being 170 proof, but also to the links of the Hemi V8 engine with the Dodge Direct Connection Hellephant C170 box engine, with which it shares part of the DNA.

In this way, this model of dodge Challenger came to close the production of the Demon 170 with a golden key.
