Toyota Mirai 2023: with technological innovations

The Toyota Mirai 2023 has updates on its technological part. See below for updates and if the price will remain the same!

Some say that battery-powered electric cars may already have killed the hydrogen horse on which Toyota (at least in part) gambled its future not too long ago.

Others might think that the company's newly appointed CEO would be right to continue prioritizing hydrogen-powered cars. Meanwhile, there aren't many fuel cell electric vehicles to choose from.

Toyota has just announced the arrival of the 2023 Mirai FCEV which has the same starting MSRP as the MY 2022. That would be around R$260,498. But there are some catches.

That's the biggest draw for fuel vehicles, you don't have to spend a lot of time idling while your battery powered vehicle recharges.

Additionally, the vehicles don't get a heavy battery because the Mirai and other FCEVs generate electricity on board from stored hydrogen, which is a compressed gas, unlike liquid fuels like gasoline and diesel.

According to Toyota, the 2023 Mirai has an EPA estimated range of no less than 400 miles for the XLE trim.

The main change is the addition of a new Toyota Audio Multimedia system on the XLE and Limited versions, designed and engineered in America by the Toyota Connected Technologies team in Texas.

There's OTA (over-the-air updates), a Connected Service Drive Connect available, Cloud Navigation and the ubiquitous Intelligent Assistant, amongst other things like dual Bluetooth connectivity, 4G hotspot and standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Additionally, the Toyota Teammate safety suite has features such as Advanced Park and an optional Advanced Drive available on limited models.

MSRPs start at over 200k, but of course you have to also add the Toyota DPH (Dealer Processing and Handling) fee of R$5,000 and the Mirai Limited starts much higher at R$347,331.

Last but not least, it is also possible to add the Advanced Technology Package by R$7.420, in the XLE version, as well as optional 20-inch wheels or the Toyota Teammate in Limited version. Furthermore, even the most sophisticated spot color list is not free.
