That ram REV model comes standard with a really massive 168kWh battery. This promises to offer a range of up to 563 km.
To handle them, Ram is offering an even bigger 229kWh battery that annihilates the competition with an estimated range of up to 805km. It's an insane figure and among the best offered by any electric vehicle.
As well as giving the truck some serious bragging rights, the 229 kWh battery should allow the Ram 1500 REV to be a 'legit' tow vehicle. As you certainly know, towing is a significant cost for electric vehicles and that means the range can easily be halved.
If 805km isn't enough, a Ram 1500 REV XR will follow with a "top class range".
While the Ram 1500 REV may go the distance, it won't be the fastest or most powerful truck on the market. It's no slouch though, as it will feature 335 hp (250 kW / 340 PS) electric motors front and rear.
Electric drive modules consist of a motor, gearbox and inverter. However, that's not all, as the front EDM has an automatic wheel end disconnect that allows the front wheels to spin freely in certain conditions to maximize efficiency. The rear unit also incorporates a few gimmicks, including an available electronic locking rear differential.
In terms of performance, we can expect a combined output of 654 hp (448 kW / 663 PS) and 840 Nm of torque. This will allow the model to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 4.4 seconds.
Those are some insane figures, and easily trump everything in the Ram REV range, except the wacky TRX, which has a supercharged 6.2-litre V8 developing 702 hp (523 kW / 712 PS) and 880 Nm of torque.
Putting the competition aside, the Ram 1500 REV has an 800 volt architecture and a fast charging capacity of 350 kW DC.
This will allow the truck to reach up to 177 km of range in just 10 minutes. Ram didn't mention any other charging specs, but given the battery's capacities, expect long recharge times at home.
On the topic of loading, the truck has vehicle-to-vehicle, vehicle-to-home, and vehicle-to-network capabilities. That means it can power your home in an emergency and charge other EVs in the blink of an eye.
Following the technology theme, this pickup truck can be equipped with a digital rearview mirror and a 10-inch head-up display. The model also features digital key technology and a standard 12-inch infotainment system with split-screen capability.

Screens aside, the truck sports a rotary shifter and regeneration buttons that allow drivers to switch between Normal and One Pedal Driving modes.
The 2025 Ram REV will feature two-tone padded leather seats with contrast stitching, as well as heating and ventilation, front and rear.
ram didn't go into much detail, but said the model is the "slipperiest truck in the segment, with an estimated drag coefficient of 0.340." The truck also sports 20- or 22-inch wheels wrapped in all-season Pirelli Scorpion tires.
Other highlights include a motorized frunk, which has a storage capacity of 425 litres. They are joined by RamBox storage compartments, which are lockable and weatherproof.
It all adds up to an impressive truck and will hit dealerships in the fourth quarter of 2024.
