Range Rover Sport SV 2024

The new 2024 Range Rover Sport SV was seen testing at the Nürburgring and is scheduled to debut on May 31. See more details below!

The culmination of the campaign to provoke the land rover and our own efforts to capture pre-production Range Rover Sport SV prototypes will arrive on May 31st, when the super-SUV will make its official debut. Today, we are pleased to share yet another spy video of the model, taken during a high-speed test session at the Nurburgring.

What we have in the footage at the top of this page is a camouflaged Range Rover Sport SV test vehicle driving around the famous German track. It looks like most (if not all) of the fake body panels are gone and the SUV is now wearing its final production bodywork. The camouflage sheet, however, keeps most details hidden from the eye.

Design isn't the highlight of the RR Sport SV – what's under the hood is much more interesting. According to unofficial information, the model will switch from the 5.0-liter supercharged V8 of its predecessor to a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 from BMW.

The new Range Rover Sport already gets its power from one of Bavaria's finest combustion engines and the word on the street is for the SV version, which will be updated with a BMW M source mill.

If we assume that this speculation is true, what can we expect? BMW's S63 and S68 engines are obviously the most logical candidates, but the former is being phased out by the automaker.

That possibly means the S68 mild hybrid has a better chance of ending up under the hood with its 614 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. It is worth noting that this is the peak power of the 2024 X5/X6 M Competition and may differ slightly on the Range Rover Sport SV.

Last but not least, you've probably noticed that we're now using the SV suffix instead of the previous SVR.

THE land rover confirmed that the “fastest, most dynamic and most technologically advanced Range Rover Sport ever” will receive a streamlined name for its new generation and will initially be available exclusively as an invite-only model in limited numbers.
